Key Verse: "Then
Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I
thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."
- Acts 3:6 KJV
After Pentecost, the power of the Holy Spirit begins to move through the apostles in remarkable ways. One day, as Peter and John go to the temple to pray, they encounter a man who has never walked. Day after day, he has sat at the gate, asking for money hoping only for temporary help. But that day, he receives something far greater.
Peter says, “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee…”
He offers not money, but healing in the name of Jesus.
Immediately, the man is strengthened. He stands, walks, and begins leaping and praising God. The transformation is undeniable, everyone recognizes him as the same man who once sat helpless at the gate.
This miracle is not just about physical healing, it is about the power of Jesus working through His followers.
Peter makes it clear: this was not done by human ability. It was done through faith in the name of Jesus Christ.
This moment reminds us that what we have in Christ is far more valuable than anything material. The world may look for temporary solutions, but Jesus offers true transformation.
Like Peter, we may feel we don’t have much to give, but if we have Jesus, we have everything we need.
Life Application
- Offer others what truly matters—Jesus
- Trust in the power of Christ, not your own ability
- Look for opportunities to serve and minister to others
- Give God the glory for what He does through you
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the power found in the name of Jesus. Help me to see others with compassion and to offer them what truly matters. Use my life to bring hope and transformation to those around me. Amen.
